This photo was captured driving through the desert of Nevada in 2019, this was the first photo I ever took that made me feel like a real photographer.

This is the photo that gave me the courage to keep pushing through the bad work

At the end of the day I strive to showcase, a moment in time, with a story enriched in detail

Grew up skateboarding in Fayetteville, NC. I mentioned skateboarding is honestly simple, it led me to pick up my first camera. Started with filming skateboarding at first then the idea about snapping a moment in time, I found that intriguing.

That made me wonder what else could be captured that would make me feel that way… So, I started shooting anything and everything. Plenty of rough work was shot during the early days, editing was daunting. Luckily the most valuable lesson I learned growing up skating was that the failures mattered more than the success.

“The best camera is the one you have on you” The art of this craft is about capturing the moment in time, regardless of that moment which could be nature, events, portraits, you name it. There is always a moment in anything, and as a photographer my job is to find that moment.

10 Years later since picking up the camera and deciding I want to take photos I still have that same love for capturing the moment of time.

The reason I chose OliverSnips for the name is inspired by my  father’s side, I’m the  5th generation with the middle name Oliver, The reason I chose snips is a play on my last name, and photography.
